F1 in Schools

F1 in Schools is for students of 9-19 years old. There is also a competition for elementary school students, called F1 in Schools Jaguar Challenge.

The main product is the F1 in Schools Car. This is a miniature of a F1 car designed and produced by the team to race in a 20-meter-long track.

Apart from Engineering (design & manufacturing), teams need to work on Enterprise, which consists of project management and marketing.

An F1 in Schools car is a 1:30 scale F1 car powered by a CO2 cartridge, which causes the car to accelerate when it releases its compressed carbon dioxide. It weighs at least 50g and the main body is made out of balsa wood. The material of rest of the parts (nose cone, wings, wheels etc.) is a choice of the team.
